PEORIA, Ill. (25 News) – A Peoria tattoo artist will spend the next few years behind bars after being found guilty of grooming charges.
34-year-old Mario Davis was sentenced Wednesday to four years in prison by Peoria County Chief Judge Katherine Gorman. Davis was found guilty of grooming a minor by a jury in October.
Davis was charged after a 16-year-old girl came forward last year, revealing explicit Snapchat messages sent to her by Davis.
According to 25 News, Davis will have six months of mandatory supervised release and will receive 261 days for time already served. He could be released early if he takes advantage of day-for-day credit.
