PEORIA, Ill. – The City of Peoria is hosting a meeting Thursday evening at Richwoods High School, to provide details of an upcoming reconstruction project at the intersection of University and Northmoor.
Peoria Public Works’ Nick McMillion says the year-long project will affect a lot of people.
“It’s a very vital corridor and area. We have a couple of schools there…Richwoods High School, and then St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School as well. And, there’s a lot of users of all means, whether drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists,” McMillion says.
The reconstruction that’s scheduled to begin next month is the last of several projects on Northmoor, McMillion says.
“There’ll be lane closures, road closures, sidewalk closures. So, as the project moves forward, and we get started, we always ask drivers to be mindful and on the look out for those new traffic pattern changes,” McMillion says.
The public is invited to attend the meeting in the Richwoods Library Thursday at 5 p.m. If you can’t make it, you can find out more by contacting Peoria Public Works, or by clicking HERE.
