PEORIA, Ill. – One person was injured after a crash with entrapment early Monday morning in West Peoria.
Peoria Fire says the crash happened near Park and Farmington Roads, just before 5:45 A.M.
Crews arrived to find a vehicle struck in a tree, with the engine compartment fully engulfed in fire.
Peoria Fire says a Good Samaritan safely removed the unresponsive driver from the vehicle before crews arrived, calling it “heroic” and vital in saving the driver’s life.
The driver was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
