WOODFORD COUNTY, Ill. – A Springfield man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to meet with a minor for sex.
Woodford County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Dennis Tipsword says 27-year-old Kamarie Reynolds is facing four felony charges after his arrest Tuesday night.
He says those charges include Indecent Solicitation of a Child, Traveling to Meet a Minor, Grooming, and Indecent Solicitation of a Child by Use of Internet. Reynolds is also facing a misdemeanor charge of Resisting a Police Officer.
Tipsword says Reynolds was taken into custody after allegedly traveling from Springfield to Woodford County to meet with whom he believed to be a 15-year-old girl, with the purpose of engaging in a sex act with her.
Reynolds is being held in the Woodford County Jail, awaiting a pretrial detention hearing.
