PEORIA, Ill. – Another successful Country Cares Radiothon on sister station 104.9 the Wolf is in the books.
For the past two days, co-hosts Mike Stechman and John Young raised $71,877 for the Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The amount tops last year’s total of $71,025.
After the completion of the radiothon on Thursday, Young called it a “privilege” to be able to raise money for St. Jude, with Young and Stechman thanking listeners for their generosity.
Gina Seghetti of Saint Jude says they are “grateful” for every dollar raised.
“We are so blessed with the best community,” Seghetti said. “Central Illinois comes out every year.”
Seghetti says her favorite part of the radiothon is seeing the passion for raising money for St. Jude.
Even though the radiothon is complete, you can continue to contribute at (800) 374-4995, or by texting the word WOLF to 62 62 62.
