PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man must remain in custody after his arrest this week for allegedly sexually abusing a minor.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says a detention hearing for 61-year-old Alfred Cohoon took place Thursday on a Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse charge.
Prosecutors say on Monday, police officers responded to a local school after reports of an inappropriate video being shared among students.
The video allegedly shows Cohoon engaging in sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl.
Prosecutors say Cohoon was arrested the next day, and allegedly admitted during a police interview that the video was of him and the victim.
