PEORIA, Ill. – In Peoria, on Monday, from 9am to 3:30pm, southbound Route 6 will go down to one lane at War Memorial Drive for sign work.
In Peoria, on Wednesday, lane closures begin on Knoxville Avenue in both directions at Route 6 with the left turn lane from the northbound Route 6 ramp to northbound Knoxville closing on March 17.
The project, scheduled through September, will add new traffic signals and an additional turn lane on the ramp. Southbound traffic will not be affected.

On Monday, occasional daytime lane closures begin on the Scott Lucas Memorial Bridge over the Illinois River in Havana. The lane closures are in preparation for bridge rehabilitation that begins in May when the bridge will go down to only a single lane controlled by signals.
IDOT says wider vehicles and implements will be permitted to cross the bridge with flagger assistance. The entire project is expected to wrap up in fall 2027.
