EAST PEORIA, Ill. – This spring, East Peoria is launching some special events ahead of the nation’s 250th birthday.
The City’s Emma Admire says in May, several American-themed floats and displays will make their way to the Levee District.
“We plan on in May, bringing some of the Red, White and Blue archways that are typically in the Winter Wonderland into Levee Park, along with some patriotic displays like the American Flag, and branches of the government. Those floats that are typically in Winter Wonderland will be in Levee Park,” Admire says.
East Peoria also plans to launch a special America 250 Ornament Hunt on June 1st.
“Folepi’s Ornament Hunt typically happens during the holiday season, and people really look forward to it. It’s an East Peoria tradition, and the surrounding communities really have fun with it. And, it’s not meant to be just for East Peoria,” Admire says.
