PEORIA, Ill. — Strong to severe storms are a possibility for the Peoria area on Tuesday, prompting 25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Brian Walder to designate a First Alert Weather Day.
While an isolated storm may occur in the afternoon, the highest threat for severe weather is expected to hold off until after 6 p.m. and could continue into early Tuesday night.
All severe weather hazards are in play, including:
- Tornadoes
- Large Hail (upward of at least two inches possible with the strongest storms)
- Strong Winds
