PEORIA, Ill. – The two 18-year-olds alleged to have been behind a violent car chase through Peoria last month have been indicted by a grand jury.
Daviere Dillard was indicted on Tuesday for Attempt First Degree Murder, as well as Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Aggravated Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Peace Officer.
Court documents allege Dillard was behind the wheel of a stolen Jeep the morning of February 17th. During the incident, police allege the group attacked and robbed a student near Peoria High School, and attempted to run over several individuals near Peoria High and Richwoods.
The group is also alleged to have chased police vehicles, and thrown weights and objects at squad cars and other motor vehicles.
Quinzell Foy was indicted on Tuesday for Robbery, with court documents alleging he stole a jacket and cell phone from a victim.
Four juveniles have also been charged in the case, with prosecutors attempting to try them as adults.
