LACON, Ill. – A Sparland man will spend more than two decades in prison after a guilty plea for disseminating child sex abuse materials.
Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul says 46-year-old Shawn Roth was sentenced Wednesday to 24 years in prison by Marshall County Circuit Court Judge Paul Bauer.
Roth pleaded guilty to four felony counts of dissemination of child sex abuse material, along with a separate charge of possession of methamphetamine.
Raoul says his office helped prosecute the case with the Marshall County State’s Attorney’s Office.
