PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Public Works says its Snowfighters began around-the-clock operations Sunday at 7 p.m. and will continue 12-hour shifts through the day on Monday.
The City’s Nick McMillion says overall Peoria roads are passable, though there are slick spots, specifically in the residential areas.
Along with continuous treatment of the roads, Peoria crews will be addressing blowing and drifting snow primarily in the northern and western edges of the city on Monday.
Drivers are asked to use caution, giving themselves time to get where they are going.
McMillion says conditions are expected to improve throughout the day.
