PEORIA, Ill. – Tuesday’s elections for the Peoria Public Schools featured one race that appears too close to call.
The two races are needed to fill seats on the board to replace Lynne Costic and Larry Ivory.
In District Three, Sarah Howard holds a 44 vote lead over Doug Shannon after votes were counted Tuesday night.
Vote-by-mail ballots can still arrive and be counted in Peoria County up to two weeks after Election Day, as long as it’s postmarked by Election Day.
The other race in District Two did not appear as close, with Andy Diaz holding a nearly 700 vote lead over David Daye with nearly 60% of the vote.
