PEORIA, Ill. – A fourth charge has been levied against the former Peoria High School boys’ basketball coach for alleged past sexual abuse and conduct.
A Peoria County grand jury on Tuesday indicted 41-year-old Daniel Ruffin on one count of Criminal Sexual Assault.
He was previously indicted for Indecent Solicitation of a Child, Grooming, and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse in two separate cases.
In one case, Ruffin is alleged to have engaged in sexual acts with a then 17-year-old girl in his office during school hours. Tuesday’s indictment is reportedly related to that case.
Ruffin also allegedly sent inappropriate text messages to a 16-year-old female at the school.
