PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria International Airport says it’s accepting donations for TSA officers affected by the partial government shutdown.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the airport says it’s accepting gas or grocery cards that are up to $20 each for the officers.
The cards can be dropped off in the Airport Administration Office, or the ticket counters outside of business hours.
The airport also says it is not seeing long wait times that other national airports are seeing. But it’s advising people to arrive at least two hours before their flights.
