PEORIA, Ill. – The cause of a dumpster fire in South Peoria early Monday morning is undetermined at this time.
Peoria Fire says crews responded just after 5:45 A.M. to the area of Starr and Ligonier, where the dumpster fire was extending to the rear of a one-half story home under construction.
The fire was under control within 15 minutes, and stopped before it could extend to the house.
Peoria Fire says the dumpster was fully loaded with household materials, which caused problems in putting the fire out.
The house sustained moderate siding damage due to the heat from the dumpster fire.
No one was in the home at the time, and there were no injuries reported.
