PEORIA, Ill. – Two teenaged boys were arrested after an alleged armed robbery Monday afternoon in Peoria.
Peoria Police says officers contacted two male victims at around 2:30 P.M. in the area of Armstrong and Sheridan.
The victims reported they were approached by four unidentified suspects who forcibly took personal property, with one suspect allegedly showing a handgun, before fleeing on foot.
Police searched the area with a drone and found a 16-year-old and a 14-year-old who matched the suspects’ description.
The two were taken into custody near Shipman and Martin Luther King Junior Drive.
Peoria Police say both were arrested on two counts of Armed Robbery, with the 16-year-old also charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon. They were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
