UPDATE: Pedestrian dies after being struck Friday morning on Murray Baker Bridge

UPDATED 9:55 A.M.

PEORIA, Ill. – One person has died after reportedly being struck by a vehicle on Murray Baker Bridge early Friday morning.Illinois State Police says the crash occurred at around 5:50 A.M. in the westbound lanes.

Police say the victim was taken to a hospital after being struck.

No further information about the crash is available at this time from state police.

The westbound lanes were closed for about three hours, but were reopened just before 9:00 A.M.

Illinois State Police told 25 News the crash happened around 5:50 a.m. on the Tazewell County side of the bridge.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital. Their condition was not available.

Westbound I-74 was closed for accident reconstruction for roughly three hours, reopening as of 8:52 a.m., according to ISP.
