PEORIA, Ill. – It’s quite the sight to see. Police officers statewide are climbing to the top of their local Dunkin Donuts on Friday to raise money for Special Olympics.
You can show up to support officers in Peoria, East Peoria, Washington, Bartonville, Pekin, Morton and Chillicothe Friday morning until noon.
The “Cop On A Roof Top” event is held every spring ahead of the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics of Illinois.
Law enforcement in Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana and Missouri also participating in “Cop On A Roof Top” Friday morning.
