SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – 17th District Congressman Eric Sorensen says Illinois farmers are not looking for handouts, but rather, a chance to earn an honest living.
The Congressman questioned Department of Agriculture Undersecretary Richard Fordyce about overseeing federal crop insurance, investments in conservation workforce and programs, and cuts to SNAP for Illinois families.
Sorensen says he’s committed to advocating for fair federal crop insurance compensation while fighting back against cuts to SNAP assistance for Illinois families.
