CHICAGO, Ill. — Another round of mortgage assistance is rolling out soon.
Illinois Housing Development Authority Spokesperson Andrew Field says eligible homeowners still feeling the effects of the pandemic can get up to $30,000 in assistance.
“If you are at least 30 days late on your primary mortgage, or if you don’t have a mortgage, it’s paid off, your property taxes…there are some income limits and the type of home available, but pretty much everyone who is under the eligibility requirement is eligible to apply,” Field says.
The money can be used for overdue mortgage payments, condo association fees, property taxes and more.
The application period runs from November 1- January 31.
