PEORIA, Ill. – Peaceful protests have taken place over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
A peaceful march took place Saturday afternoon in downtown Peoria.
A large crowd marched along Water St shortly after 1 p.m. chanting “No justice. No Peace.
The rally ended up at the Peoria County Courthouse as the crowd filled up the intersection of Main & Adams.
This week thousands have demonstrated peacefully, demanding justice for George Floyd, a black man who died after a white officer pressed a knee into his neck.
