PEORIA, Ill. — A women-only philanthropy group in central Illinois is announcing the “impact” they will have for a variety of causes in the region.
This week, the area’s IMPACT 100 group announced they have completed their annual membership and fundraising drive and they will have more than $300,000 dollars in grants to distribute in the New Year.
According to a news release issued Friday, $100,000 grants will be awarded to deserving non-profits in each of three categories, including Health & Community Wellbeing, Education & Community Development as well as Social Services & Basic Needs.
Another $25,000 “inspire” grant will be awarded to a smaller non-profit.
The local IMPACT group says grant applications will be received at a new streamlined web portal from January 10 through February 7, 2023.
IMPACT Central Illionis ended their membership drive on November 30th.
The group notes that each year, membership has grown, but this year a record high of 315 women answered the call for volunteers in the coming grant cycle.
