The Washington High School District 308 Board of Education is expected to vote on the hiring of Eric Schermerhorn as head boys basketball coach.
The action item is included in the agenda for Monday’s school board meeting.
Schermerhorn, a longtime assistant at Washington, became interim head coach in February when Kevin Brown took a leave of absence. Brown died in June after a battle with brain cancer.
Monday’s school board meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Washington Community High School library.
