CREVE COEUR, Ill. — One arrest has been made in a burglary that occurred around 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning which led to a total of nine firearms being stolen from Thompson’s Trading Post in Creve Coeur.
According to Creve Coeur Police, an eye witness saw several people throw an object through the front glass door.
After robbing the store, they ran to a waiting vehicle.
East Peoria Police located the vehicle near Main and Washington St. in East Peoria. They attempted to stop the vehicle on Springfield Rd., where the driver lost control.
Four of the nine firearms stolen were recovered in the area where the vehicle was abandoned.
The driver, 21-year-old Corionna J. Mitchell-Pastoriza, was arrested for Burglary.
Police are still searching for several others who were involved in the crime.
In addition, the subjects also burglarized a car dealership in Pekin prior to the burglary in Creve Coeur, according to police.
