Peoria Firefighters responded to a fire at 1031 Northeast Glen Oak Sunday night, finding smoke coming from the roof of a two story detached garage.
Fire Battalion Chief Rick Morgan said the fire was out within a matter of minutes, and there were no injuries.
A resident told firefighters that he was using a candle to light the second floor of the garage while cleaning and organizing it. He later found smoke and fire coming from that area.
