PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria hopes an upgrade of its “Peoria Cares” app will make it easier for residents to report concerns to city officials.
Peoria is partnering with SeeClickFix to update the app and online platform for residents to report non-emergency matters.
A release from the City of Peoria says app and desktop users can also share exact locations on a map, upload photos and receive progress reports on potholes, illegal dumping, garbage pickup, streetlight and parking meter troubles and other situations.
“We’ve seen great success with Peoria Cares as a convenient service for residents to report issues,” Peoria’s Community Development Director Joe Dulin in a prepared statement.
“The partnership we have with the community in letting us know when they have concerns is vital to the stability and growth of our neighborhoods.” Dulin said.
Peoria residents can access “Peoria Cares” by calling (309) 494-2273 Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The new “Peoria Cares” app is available for iPhones and Androids. The city is disabling the older app on Apr. 3.
