PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police are investigating a shooting Saturday afternoon that left a juvenile injured.
The shooting happened just before 4 p.m., when officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the area of W. Martin and S. Dusable Streets, with 11 rounds fired.
Peoria Public Information Officer Semone Roth says officers on scene learned at least two people shot at each other.
A juvenile male later arrived at a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. His injuries were considered non-life threatening.
The incident remains under investigation. PPD has no suspect information.
