EAST PEORIA, Ill. – Managers of the Jenny Craig location in East Peoria tell WMBD Radio News the location there will NOT be closing. They say the store is a franchise location, not company owned-and-operated entity, so it has no plans to close at this time. The Jenny Craig closures only impact company-owned locations, and the California-based corporate office.

CARLSBAD, Ca. – One of the more well-known names in weight loss may not physically be around much longer.
Fox Business and other media outlets are reporting that Jenny Craig may be preparing to shut down its brick-and-mortar locations nationwide.
That likely would include the location in the Levee District in East Peoria.
Fox Business cites an internal memo obtained by NBC News that some workers received saying Jenny Craig would be “winding down physical operations” as it goes through a sale process.
The company reportedly said while it doesn’t yet know what employee groups may be impacted, it suggested that employees “begin to seek other employment.”
No official comment yet from Jenny Craig.
