FARMERSVILLE, Ill. – The identities of five more victims from Monday’s fatal pile-up have been released.
Illinois State Police released the names and ages of the victim’s on Saturday. One was previously known, 88-year-old Shirley Harper of Franklin, WI.
The additional five are 73-year-old Joseph Bates and 71-year-old Donna Bates of Crystal Lake, 64-year-old Earl LeGrand of Florissant, Missouri, and 55-year-old Michael Zinchuk and 54-year-old Amy Zinchuk of Champaign.
The Montgomery County Coroner is working to identify who the 7th and final victim from the crash is.
Multiple crashes occurred in both directions of a six-mile stretch of Interstate 55 near Farmersville, south of Springfield. 72 vehicles in total were involved. Along with the seven deaths, 37 people were taken to area hospitals.
