PEORIA, Ill. – On the bright side, the average price of gasoline in Peoria, according to two groups, is about a dollar a gallon lower now than this time last year. On the down side, it might not be going down now as much as anyone would like.
GasBuddy.com says its Peoria area gas price average is at $3.69 a gallon, down 3.3 cents from a week ago.
AAA’s Peoria-Pekin gas price average is close to $3.71 a gallon, down more than 4.5 cents per gallon.
GasBuddy says prices have started to move higher in some states while others continue to decline, despite oil prices rising.
They call the current price “significant relief” over last year.
