PEORIA, Ill. – Thieves are continuing to cut and steal the catalytic converters off vehicles. But now, they’re targeting Peoria Public School buses.
The district says ten catalytic converters have been cut off their bus fleet.
25 News says thieves tried to cut more converters off, but many of the district’s buses have cages covering them.
District-150 says they’ve got surveillance video from the incident they’ve turned over to Peoria Police.
The entire bus fleet now has catalytic converter cages.
No public word on suspects.
