SAN FRANCISCO – At least nine people are hurt after a shooting Friday night during a block party in San Francisco.
The local FOX-TV affiliate says eyewitnesses believe the shooting to be a drive-by, and police say it was both an isolated incident, and targeted.
All nine of the victims, ranging from 19 to 35, were taken to local hospitals, some with life-threatening injuries.
Lawmakers in the area say the shooting happened in an otherwise safe area — part of what’s called the city’s Mission District.
