PEORIA (25 News) – It was a unanimous decision on Tuesday night from Peoria City Council to transfer $20.5 million dollars generated by the sale of bonds to the Peoria Civic Center.
Leaders with the Civic Center have said the event facility needs massive improvements to continue bringing thousands of people to the River City for entertainment.
Among those needs, a new ice plant for the Peoria Rivermen Hockey team and other ice activities.
The total improvements needed cost about $40 million.
