PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. – Some mailboxes in rural Peoria County ended up destroyed, and the Sheriffs Department may want to know who did it.
Sheriffs officials say deputies went to the area of South Roethlisberger and South Cameron around 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, after residents saw a suspicious vehicle in the area.
Not long after, 25 News reports, residents heard a boom and had a piece of a mailbox hit their home.
In total, three mailboxes were destroyed when they blew up.
Attempts to find the suspect have failed, and the department says for now, the case is closed due to a lack of a suspect.
