MEXICO CITY – Hurricane Hilary has intensified into a Category 4 storm as it makes its way towards Baja, California on Friday.
Hilary is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rains to Southwestern states over the next several days.
The National Hurricane Center says it could be the first time a tropical storm makes landfall in California since 1939.
Hurricane Hilary’s winds reached 140 miles per hour early Friday morning, as it moves from the Baja coast of Mexico to California.
