PEORIA, Ill. – Two people running for two different public offices in the November, 2024 election are announcing their candidacies Wednesday.

Samuel Goddard, who claims to own three businesses in Pekin and East Peoria, says he’s running as a Republican for the seat of Tazewell County Auditor.
Goddard claims that business background makes him a strong candidate to replace fellow Republican Brett Grimm, who’s reportedly running to be chair of the Tazewell County Board.
Meanwhile, Kickapoo resident and Associate 10th Circuit Judge Sean Donohue says he’s running for the Circuit Judge seat being vacated by the retiring Kevin Lyons.
A press release touts endorsements for the Democrat by Lyons, State’s Attorney Jodi Hoos, and State Senator Dave Koehler.
Lyons is temporarily being replaced on the bench by retired Judge Paul Gilfillan until the election.
