Gas prices continue to drop in the Peoria area.
According to a survey by Gasbuddy.com, the price of a gallon of gas in Peoria dropped about 8 cents last week to $2.70. That is even with the statewide average.
“The national average price of gasoline has now fallen to the lowest level of the summer, but even better, the lowest since March as gas stations pass along the recent drop in oil prices brought on by the U.S./China trade rift,” said Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
Prices in the Peoria area vary, with the lowest price being $2.50 a gallon, all the way up to $3 a gallon.
