WEST CHESTER, Penn. (FOX News) – A manhunt is on for a convicted murderer who has escaped from a Pennsylvania prison.
FOX News reports a $10,000 reward is being offered in the manhunt for Danelo Cavalcante, who is being described as “extremely dangerous.”
The 34-year-old Cavalcante was convicted in 2021 in the killing of his ex-girlfriend, Deborah Brandao.
Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan says local, state, and federal authorities are involved in the search. She says helicopters, drones, and dogs are being utilized.
Investigators believe he could be heading south to his native Brazil, where Cavalcante is reportedly also wanted for a homicide.
Cavalcante is described as 5 feet tall and 120 pounds with brown eyes and long, black curly hair.
