Monday, Illinois Democratic Governor JB Pritzker announced the members of the Elder Abuse Task Force.
One of those members is the Bartonville Police Chief, Brian Fengel.
The task force was created through Senate Joint Resolution 13, which passed both houses.
All 22 members of the task force will report the findings and recommendations to the governor and the General Assembly by Jan. 1, 2021.
The goal of the task force is to analyze the effectiveness of elder protective services in Illinois, as well as other states, to help develop a long-term plan to improve outcomes for older Illinoisans.
Fengel has been a part of the Silver Search Task Force for 23 years as an advocate for the seniors in the community and tri-county area.
