PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man, records indicate, was released from jail Tuesday after being arrested Friday afternoon on a host of charges after a police chase.
Jail records indicate Landis West, 35, was given Notices to Appear in Court on what police said were numerous traffic offenses, along with counts of Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding and Reckless Driving, along with a warrant.
Police say West’s vehicle fled a previous incident on Jefferson Street just before five p-m, but went through Hurlburt and the south end before getting on Interstate 74.
An Illinois State Police helicopter later spotted the vehicle on Scenic, helping police make the arrest.
