PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. – The Peoria County State’s Attorney has filed some of the charges a man who escaped Tuesday night from the Peoria County Jail was originally booked on.
Jodi Hoos says she filed counts of felony Escape and Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding against Cory Bragg, 34.
Among the charges booked on but not filed, according to jail records, were Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
Bragg escaped from the jail Tuesday night while on a work detail taking out garbage. He allegedly stole a truck from the Bellevue area, later spotted in Glasford and then Pekin, where he was arrested early Wednesday.
Bragg is re-jailed on $250,000 bond. Hoos says if Bragg is convicted, any sentence would be served after any conviction on the traffic and other charges he was previously jailed on.
