PEORIA, Ill. – Another juvenile arrested for what has otherwise been an adult crime.
Peoria Police say they arrested a 15-year-old male they’d been investigation on multiple felony weapons-related charges.
Police say they were following up on an investigating involving the juvenile Saturday when they saw him and another juvenile leaving a home on Southwest Adams in South Peoria.
They were able to pull a vehicle over the teen was in shortly thereafter for a traffic violation, and found a handgun with a loaded extended magazine inside.
The teen was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center on two counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and single counts of Possession of a Handgun Under 21, and Possession of an Unserialized Handgun.
