SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – You can now get a COVID-19 vaccine at the same downtown Peoria location you can also get a COVID-19 test.
The Illinois Department of Public Health says the Peoria Civic Center parking lot is one of five community-based testing sites that will now also offer the vaccine.
The Civic Center, site, after being closed for awhile is now open again from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
The state says all three approved vaccines will be available for anyone 12 and over. They say neither an appointment nor a doctor’s referral are needed.
There is no cost.
Other community-based testing sites operated by the state also having the vaccine are in Aurora, Arlington Heights, South Holland, and Fairview Heights.
