GOODFIELD, Ill. – At least two people are injured after a chain-reaction series of crashes along Interstate 74 Friday morning.
Illinois State Police says the first crash happened just prior to 8:00 a.m. with a car going into a ditch near Goodfield.
That caused three more vehicles to strike each other trying to avoid the crash, and a fifth vehicle going into another ditch.
Troopers say two people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Heavy rain at the time may have caused the crashes.
