PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man is in trouble with the law after he allegedly drove a U-Haul through several areas while firing shots.
Peoria Police say Kenneth Threatt, 38, faces a host of charges, including: Criminal Damage to Property (2 counts), Resisting Police, Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Obstructing Justice, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, various traffic offenses, Burglary (2 Counts), Felony Theft (6 Counts), Misdemeanor Theft (3 Counts), Felony Retail Theft and an active warrant.
Police say they got a report of a U-Haul driving through yards with shots being fired near Camille and Hamilton in Central Peoria around 2:15 Tuesday morning.
After it was spotted on Glen, police say the U-Haul later crashed into a fence on Armstrong, and Threatt allegedly fled on foot before being taken into custody.
Threatt is in the Peoria County Jail.
