EAST PEORIA, Ill. (25 News) – Crews are cleaning up in East Peoria after three freight cars derailed Monday evening.
25 News reports the derailment occurred under the Meadow Avenue overpass, spilling corn in the area.
Several vehicles from a towing company were on the scene to lift the cars into an upright position.
There were no injuries, and the derailment occurred in a spot where traffic was not blocked.
The cause of the derailment is not known at this time.
