PEORIA, Ill. – A warning about how you use power strips.
Peoria Fire says one that was overloaded in a second-floor bedroom caused a fire near Homestead and Madison Avenues in Averyville at 6:50 a.m. Thursday.
Four adults and two children were able to get out of the home safely and are getting Red Cross help.
No one was hurt, but at least $20,000 in damage was done to the home.
