PEORIA, Il.. – A fire late Friday night damaged a garage and a car inside, but Peoria crews were able to keep the flames from spreading to a nearby home.
The fire broke out near the corner of E. Nebraska Avenue and N. Maryland Street in Peoria’s East Bluff.
Peoria Fire Battalion Chief Steve Rada said fire and heavy smoke filled in the unattached garage.
No firefighter injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
The cause and origin of the fire are still being investigated.
