PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man pleaded guilty to a charge of Second-Degree Murder, on the day his trial on charges of First-Degree Murder was to start.
Peoria County Court records indicate the First-Degree Murder charges were dismissed Monday against Chazier Johnson, 24, in exchange for the plea, and a sentencing hearing was scheduled for December 20th.
Johnson allegedly shot and killed Timothy Foreman, Jr., 40, in March of 2022 near Knoxville and Beverly. He wasn’t arrested until the following June.
